Sym-BEE-o-sis

Sym-BEE-o-sis follows a team of researchers as they unravel the mysteries of the bee-plant-microbe symbiosis and explore the unintended consequences of our reliance on agrochemicals.

Through beautiful cinematography (including super macro, high speed, time-lapse, and inside-the-nest footage), Sym-BEE-o-sis gives audiences an unprecedented window into the lives of bees — particularly the wild, native bees that play an indispensable, often forgotten role in both agricultural and natural ecosystems.

This 17 minute video was co-produced by Days Edge Productions and HHMI Tangled Bank Studios.

Seeker #BeeWeek

In partnership with Seeker, the celebration of bees and pollinators continued after the PBS broadcast premiere throughout #BeeWeek. The week-long initiative (October 23-28, 2021) spanned Seeker’s platforms on Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube with original content about native bees, pollinator health, and emerging research.

#BeeWeek culminated in an Instagram Live Q&A event (October 28 at 7pm ET/4pm PT) with Dr. Sammy Ramsey from the USDA and Clay Bolt from World Wildlife Fund. A recording of the event is available on InstagramTV now.
